THE BIG BANG

This piece is about the dark foreshadowing of a terrible outcome that a lot of people, and the media, project into the world right now, a projection that has been intensifying since 2022. It is about the fear and anxiety that is created in each individual’s mind about their own safety and proximity to annihilation. All this conflict, war, confusion, fighting, and tension, creates an image in our minds of our proximity to annihilation. The questions I ask with this artwork are: How do you observe the world you live in? Can you recognize your true self in it? Can you observe your fears, anxieties, and negativity from a distance, and see how it reflects on the world around you, and adds to the chaos? Look deep inside, and ask yourself, who is the real you, and which parts of you were adopted throughout your life?

I used the visual language of neurographic art and combined it with expressionism to convey our dark, shadow selves that is surging and intensifying in the world right now.

With art, I cast a light on the shadow parts of ourselves, and our society, in the hope of sparking a desire for introspection, and an authentic search for who we are deep inside. By acknowledging and accepting the pain we all carry as the root cause of all suffering within ourselves, and in others, we can become a greater version of ourselves. Only this way can we bring a new era of harmony within and outside ourselves.
